What is the pageant all about?

The pageant was founded to give Latinas from around the world a chance to shine. It also gives Latinas a chance pursue dreams of modeling, acting and careers in the entertainment industry. The Pageant weekend is a fun filled experience the whole family can enjoy. Especially exciting is the opportunity to meet other young women with similar goals and interests while showing pride in your heritage.

What are the age divisions of the pageant?

Miss Latina ages 19-35

Teen Latina ages 14-18

Mrs. Latina ages 21 and up, married

Age is based on your age on May 1, 2019

What is judging based on? Is there a talent competition?

Judging is based on poise in Evening Gown(30%), Judges Interview(30%), National Costume(30%) and On Stage Introduction(10%). There is no talent competition.

Can I enter if I am married or if I have children?

Yes! We allow contestants that are married or have children.

Where/When is Miss Latina Pageant held?


The 2019 Pageant will be held May 2019 in Miami Beach

In the past, the Miss Latina Pageant has been held in Dallas, TX, San Antonio, TX, Miami Beach, FL, and Las Vegas, NV.

What if I’m only half Latina? Do I have to speak Spanish?

That’s fine! Only 25% Hispanic heritage is required to compete. You do not need to be able to speak Spanish.

 How can I enter?

Complete the entry form online in the "enter” section of this website. A contestant coordinator will contact you to assist you with completing the entry process of completing the required paperwork and sponsor fees.

Is there a fee to enter?

As with any competition, there is an entry fee. This year’s entry fee is $550. Entry fees cover the costs of pageant production including staging, judges, staff, entertainment, supplies, prizes awards, etc. We suggest that contestants enlist sponsors to help cover fees. Sponsors are listed in the official program book, Winners of preliminary pageants receive their entry fee to the international pageant paid. All contestants are also required to sell one $350 full page ad for the program book.

Is there a payment plan?

Yes. If you choose not to get sponsors and pay the fees yourself, You can join the pageant for only $175 down and pay out the rest.

Is my hotel and airfare included?

Airfare/travel is not included in the entry fee, however our host hotel will be offering discounted rooms for pageant contestants and their families.

If I decide not to compete can I get a refund?

No. It is our strict policy that all fees paid including, deposit/sponsor fees, advertising, tickets, merchandise are non refundable and non transferrable.

Do I need pageant or modeling experience?

No. Judging is based on beauty and stage presence and personality. There will be an optional modeling workshop held the first day of the pageant in order to teach new contestants and help experienced contestants brush up on their skills. Some contestants have a lot of experience and some have none at all. Some of our past titleholders entered many times before winning the crown, and some won on their first try.

Will I have to buy a lot of new clothes?

No. There are no attire or wardrobe scores. Your evening gown/beauty gown and other outfits can be as simple or as fancy as you would like. Garments should fit you well and reflect your personality. Remember you can look like a million bucks without spending a lot of money!

Can I enter if I have tattoos?

Yes tattoos are allowed. If you wish, you may choose to cover tattoos during the on stage portions, but it is not required to do so.

What are the prizes?

There are many exciting prizes for the winners of the 2019 pageant. The most exciting, however, is the opportunity to meet industry professionals and build a career in the entertainment industry. As you can see from our success page, many contestants have made connections that have furthered their dreams!

I've heard of other "Latina" pageants, how is this one different?

The Miss Latina Pageant began as the Miss Latina USA Pageant, and is the ORIGINAL pageant exclusively for Latinas. The Miss Latina Pageant was the only pageant to receive special acknowledgement from Florida Governor Jeb Bush, brother of the former President of the United States. Don't be fooled by cheap imitators.

I was born in another country, can I represent that country in the Miss Latina Pageant?

Possibly. If there is not a preliminary pageant in that country, and you are entering as an At-Large delegate.
